WDB #9

No cooking today - between basketball, a Tae Kwon Do tournament and then shopping for the new house, there definitely isn't time.

But there is time for a quick dog post.

No, Bailey isn't doing laundry, but we thought we could maybe at least teach him to recycle. Once he got over his fear of the Tide bottle, he pranced happily around the house with it, tail a-wagging. However, he did not get over his fear of the recycling bucket. Sigh.............

Sweetnicks is taking off on vacation this weekend, so WDB #9 will be hosted by Stephanie from Dispensing Happiness.

  3. He was squinty eyed because he was still very excited (retrievers just love to prance around with stuff in their mouths) and really did not want to sit still for the picture. His face gets squinty and twitchy when he tries to hold in his excitement!

Hi, I have a quick question about the mushroom and spankapitas appetizers. I would like to make them this week and freeze them completely cooked and just reheat on Thanksgiving. My oven will be busy and I hope to re-heat these in the toaster oven in small batches. Do you think it will be ok? TIA

  6. I think they might do okay reheating them, but both of those are probably best if you bake them that day.

I have actually cooked the mushroom crescents in the toaster oven in small batches when I've been desparate, so you might want to try cooking them in the toaster oven instead of just reheating them. If you're not sure how your toaster oven will do, perhaps you can cook up just a few in advance to see how it works.

Wouldn't it be lovely to have double wall ovens?!

Thanks, I think I will do the have the mushroom crescents ready ahead of time and bake them in the toaster oven and replace the other one with a spinach dip. Certainly will make it easier!!

  8. Hi Kat, thanks for stopping by.

I am in IN. I'm originally, and will always be at heart, an East Coast girl, though.

I love Goldens. My family had 2 growing up and they make the best pets, especially for kids. As much as we love Goldens and Labs, I'd like for our next dog (hopefully this spring if I can talk my husband into it) to be adopted from a shelter.
