Happy Thanksgiving!

The Savory Notebook has been very quiet this week, but just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a wonderful holiday.

Alysha, discovered your blog by way of the CL boards. It's the first one I've ever bookmarked, so congratulations! LOL

I'm from FW and every visit home we try to include a night at Biaggi's and The Tavern at Coventry ... love their almond-crusted walleye with jalapeno tartar.

  5. Thanks Joe, Dani, Erika and Jennifer - hope you all enjoyed your holidays.

Hi Charley - Have you ever tried Opus 24? That was our favorite restaurant in FW. I miss Jefferson Pointe! :)

Alysha, no ... I've never heard of Opus 24. Had to search for any info online, but found a News-Sentinel review. It sounds awesome! It it in the same shopping center as Fresh Market? I'm definitely adding it to the 'list' for our spring visit. Thanks for the heads up!

  8. Yes, it's near Fresh Market. I think it's very easy to overlook since it's in a strip mall. You don't often find great restaurants in a strip mall!

Joseph Decuis is another good one, but pricey. And it's in tiny little Roanoke! I would have loved to do one of their wine dinners.
