What's for Dinner? (9/30/05)

DS finally went back to school today and I finally got out of the house. It became woefully apparent how long we'd been cooped up inside when I went to pay for my groceries and couldn't find my credit card. I hate it when I open my wallet and there's a blank spot where my credit card should be! Anyway, I had to think long and hard about where I might have used it last. The only place I could think of was the gas station - where I filled up Saturday - almost a week ago! Sure enough, they had it. Whew!

Since I finally made it to the store, I won't have to scrounge around for ingredients for dinners. My pantry and freezer are pretty well-stocked at all times, it's the vegetable and fruit supply that suffers when I don't get to the store.

Tonight's dinner plan:

The rest of the weekend will be a mix of summer and fall. The weather is supposed to be gorgeous and in the 70s, so we'll do some grilling, but we'll also be taking advantage of apple season with even more apple recipes. I hope to try Joe's Caramel Apple Bars and try our hand at Candy Apples and Caramel Apples. Maybe even another brownie recipe......
